Kamaldeen Sulemana helped Ghana maintain their unbeaten start to Africa Cup of Nations qualifying with a dramatic 1-0 win over Angola in Group E.

The Saints winger was named in Chris Hughton’s starting eleven, while teammate Mohammed Salisu missed out on a place in the matchday squad as a precaution.

After a goalless first half, Sulemana almost crowned a dazzling solo run with the opening goal on 53 minutes, only for Neblú to deny the 21-year-old with a smart save.

Substituted inside the final 10 minutes, Sulemana watched on with delight as Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo scored his first international goal deep into stoppage time to keep the Black Stars top of Group E, ahead of the reverse fixture on Monday.
