Southampton Football Club can confirm that young defender Thierry Small has joined St Mirren on loan for the rest of the season, subject to international clearance.

The 18-year-old became a Saints player in August 2021 after joining from Everton, and made his first team debut last season in an FA Cup fourth round victory over Coventry City.

The left-back has already spent time out on loan in the 2022/23 campaign, where he made eight appearances for League One side Port Vale.

He will now link up with the Saints from Scotland as they look to maintain their top half position in the Scottish Premiership.

The club wishes Thierry well for the rest of the season and will continue to follow his progress in senior football.
