New Park and Ride to make matchday travel easier than ever

By SFC Media time Mon 23 Jan The Halo Effect

Matchday parking made easier and greener. From the Wolves game on Saturday 11th February, getting to matchdays at St Mary’s stadium will be that much easier for Saints fans, with the launch of the club’s new Park and Ride scheme.

With the aim of improving the journeys that our fans make to the stadium alongside our commitment to reducing the impact on the environment in Southampton, the scheme will help ease congestion in and around the city on a matchday.

As part of the club’s sustainability strategy, The Halo Effect, we’ve worked with CES, the NHS University Hospital Southampton, Steer and Southampton City Council, to make available the Adanac Park NHS Multi-storey carpark, outside of the city centre.

Running as a nine game trial until the final league match of the season against Liverpool on May 28th, buses will run in shuttles from two and a half hours before kick-off and one hour after full time.

Fans will be dropped off within a 10 minute walk of the stadium and there’s the option of accessible seating.

You can find more information on our dedicated Park and Ride and FAQs pages.
