Ralph Hasenhüttl has confirmed Roméo Lavia is nearing a return to the Premier League after an extended period on the side-lines.

While the 18-year-old will not feature in Sunday’s Premier League clash with West Ham, he could return to first-team training as early as next week after picking up a hamstring injury in September.

Moussa Djenepo is the only fresh injury concern for the Saints, having missed out on training this week due to illness, with Tino Livramento Saints’ only long-term absentee.

“For us we have only Moussa with illness,” confirmed the boss. “He was not in the training the whole week.

“The rest of the team, apart from Romeo, who is possibly starting the beginning of next week with the team and Tino will still need a bit longer. The rest are fit.”
