Hasenhüttl on positive improvements over break

By SFC Media time Fri 30 Sep Saints vs Everton

Ralph Hasenhüttl will be looking to rotate his Southampton side after many of his players were away with their respective nations during the international break.

Romeo Lavia and Tino Livramento remain Saints’ only long-term absentees, with Hasenhüttl confirming Lavia could take ‘a few more weeks’ before he returns to the pitch.

With many of Hasenhüttl's side on international duty over the break, he could turn to the wider squad when selecting his team for Saturday’s clash.

“We had fewer players here,” said the boss. “With some of the young players going to play international games.

“Sam [Edozie] and Juan [Larios] were gone, but Ainsley [Maitland-Niles], Joe [Aribo] and Duje [Caleta-Car) were here and we were able to work with them and this was good.”
