PL Trophy visits Active Through Football

The PL Trophy recently paid a visit to Southampton's Hoglands Park, visiting one of our new Active Through Football sessions.

Active Through Football is our new Football Foundation partnered programme, and is funded by Sport England via the National Lottery. To celebrate the programme's launch in Southampton earlier this summer, the Premier League Trophy stopped off at a session several weeks ago, during its 30 year tour of the country.

The Trophy provided a great hook to pull in local people and show them our fun, free, football-based sessions in action. Watch what happened, and find out more about Active Through Football, in the video below.

Active Through Football is delivered by Saints Foundation in collaboration with a consortium of local partners. A wide variety of sessions are being run to support adults of different ages and abilities living in the SO14 postcode. Local people are encouraged to get involved in the design and ownership of the activities to ensure it meets the needs of those attending.

Football Foundation is the national delivery partner of the programme, which has been rolled out in communities across the country. You can find out more about the national aims of the programme on the Football Foundation website.
