Kendall receives Lionesses call-up

Southampton FC Women's forward Lucia Kendall will represent England Women's Under-19s in their UEFA European Championship Elite Round fixtures next month.

Kendall has been part of the Lionesses set-up since breaking into the Saints side at the start of the 2020/21 season.

In February the 17-year-old forward featured for England's Professional Development Phase, where they faced games against Germany and Switzerland whilst on tour in Marbella.

There are three fixtures lined up for Kendall in April, all being held at St George's Park:

England vs Wales
Wednesday 6th April
1.30 pm BST

England vs Iceland
Saturday 9th April
1.30pm BST

Belgium vs England
Tuesday 12th April
1.30pm BST

Kendall lines up with England Under-19s.

Elsewhere there are standby places for three members of the Saints squad.

Northern Ireland internationals Ciara Watling and Laura Rafferty have been placed on standby ahead of the senior side's forthcoming World Cup Qualifiers.

Whilst England youngster Megan Collett is on standby for the Under-18s fixture camp at St George's Park.
