The games are coming thick and fast for Marieanne Spacey-Cale and her side, who in turn will be looking to continue their fine form.

On Sunday it was another win for Saints, navigating a tricky away trip to Gillingham with a 2-0 victory.

It was a familiar sight in terms of the two scorers, Alisha Ware and Lucia Kendall on the scoresheet for Saints for successive games as they secured another three points.

Crawley have had a mixed bag of results since meeting with Saints in the League Cup semi-final, enjoying a 7-1 win at Hounslow before suffering a narrow 2-1 defeat at home to Bridgwater United.

A win for Saints would see them go to within four points of leaders Ipswich with two games in hand, whilst Crawley would leapfrog Portsmouth in sixth with victory.

LAST MEETING

It's only been 24 days since the two sides last met, coming to blows in a National League semi-final at Snows Stadium in early March.

The two sides were evenly matched during the first half, going into the break level pegging in what was a competitive affair in SO40.

Saints' breakthrough came on 54 minutes, Katie Rood firing in with a lobbed finish before Ware added a second 15 minutes from time.

Alongside the previous league meeting so far this season, Spacey-Cale's side have scored five without reply against Wednesday's opponents.

MANAGER'S NOTES

"Let's find away to get a performance from the girls," said Spacey-Cale. "Recovery starts today because it's another long trip Wednesday evening.

"We've got to prepare the same we prepare for every time. We have to put things right we didn't do so well Sunday and keep concentrating on the things we do do well.

"When we go to Crawley on Wednesday we'll be as best prepared as we can be and ready to see what they throw at us.

"Our fans have been as involved with this series of away games as we have, so it'd be great to see them again in midweek. Their support has been our driving factor in recent weeks."
