Moi Elyounoussi is convinced Southampton can bounce back from a disappointing run in the Premier League, as they host Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday.

The Norwegian international reflected after a frustrating defeat to struggling Watford at St Mary's on Sunday, and is hoping Saints use this as motivation to push harder against the current league leaders in cup competition.

"We’re really disappointed but really hungry to get back on it and win on Sunday," confirmed the winger after falling to a 2-1 defeat in front of a home crowd.

“We’re eager to get back on it tomorrow, analyse this game and take the positives from it into the next one."

Elyounoussi has urged fans to get behind Ralph Hasenhüttl's side in the cup contest on Sunday, adding that the 12th man could be crucial in securing Emirates FA Cup progression.

"It’s a big challenge on Sunday and we’re going to need everyone, we’re going to need the fans, I hope they’re going to back us and be there as the 12th man. Together, we can bounce back.”
