Players get behind LGBTQ+ inclusivity campaign

Saints players have added their voices to a campaign championing LGBTQ+ inclusivity, launched by the club alongside Official Kit Supplier hummel.

Players from both Ralph Hasenhüttl’s first team and the Women’s team showed their support for the No Place for Homophobia in Southampton campaign, which was launched earlier this season with a specially commissioned mural in the city.

The striking mural was unveiled last month close to the club’s stadium in the St Mary’s area, historically a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community in the city.

Over 1,200 fans have signed up to show their support for the campaign, with a selection of those names featuring on the mural itself, as well as in the video you can watch above.

Fans can continue to show their support for the campaign by picking up a ‘No place for homophobia in Southampton’ Rainbow T-shirt here, on sale for £22 - £10 from every t-shirt sold will be donated to the Saints Foundation.

As part of the club’s sustainability strategy, The Halo Effect, Southampton Football Club is committed to treating all of its fans fairly and equally. Find out more about how the club is committed to giving its fans a voice here.
