Southampton FC Women’s league fixtures have been suspended until further notice, following the latest restrictions announced by the government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The FA confirmed the halt of all training and fixtures across ‘non-elite’ football in England following Monday night’s news, meaning the FA Women’s National League has been put on hold.

Saints, who are currently top of the Division One South West standings, had next been scheduled to host Brislington on Sunday, but that game will no longer go ahead as planned.

Any further updates on the team’s league fixtures will be communicated once known.

With the Vitality Women’s FA Cup also suspended for now, Saints’ second-round fixture at home to Plymouth also remains on hold.
