Ella Morris voted Player of the Season

Southampton FC Women’s young full-back Ella Morris has been voted Player of the Season by supporters for the 2019/20 season.

Scooping 19% of the votes, Morris claimed her second award of the campaign having also been voted the Players’ Player of the Season.

The defender finished first on the vote put out to staff and fans, followed by midfielder Shannon Sievwright and sister Caitlin Morris in second and third respectively.

Head coach Marieanne Spacey-Cale said: “Ella has had an impactful first season within the Women’s squad, having stepped up from the RTC Under-16s.

“She has provided a number of important assists at crucial times in the season, and added a couple of important goals.

“Ella has enormous potential and we look forward to her continuing to develop and grow with us. Thank you to all of those who voted and we look forward to welcoming you all back next season.”
