Vote for your Women's Player of the Season

By SFC Media time Thu 21 May Women's First Team

Following another season of successes for Southampton FC Women, we're giving you the chance to vote for your 2019/20 Player of the Season.

It was a near perfect campaign as far as league action was concerned for Marieanne Spacey-Cale's side, remaining unbeaten in the competition until its cancellation on the 26th March.

Up until that decision, Saints had dropped just two points all season, recording 7-0, 6-0 and 8-2 victories along the way as they finished top of the division.

Further successes came in cup competitions, notably the feat of reaching the fourth round of the FA Cup for the first time in their history.

That fourth round tie saw the side play at St Mary's Stadium for the first time, drawing a record crowd of 4,510 as they faced Coventry United.

On their way to the fourth round, Saints overcame Cardiff City and Yeovil Town, both who sit in the league above Spacey-Cale's side.

There was also much to celebrate in the Hampshire Cup, where Women's Football Day was celebrated at Snows Stadium in front of a bumper crowd of 832, who witnessed a 7-1 thrashing of AFC Bournemouth.

Saints were due to play none other than Portsmouth in the county cup final, a side they had already comfortably beaten 2-0 away from home during their Women's National League Cup run in February.

So in a season with much to celebrate, we want to know which players stood out for you. Cast your votes using the button below.
