Ralph Hasenhüttl has this afternoon confirmed that Southampton's forward options have been boosted by the return of both Michael Obafemi and Stuart Armstrong ahead of this weekend's trip to the capital.

Saints face Arsenal on Sunday, having beaten the Gunners 3-2 at St Mary's in December (ending their 22-game unbeaten run) and the manager spoke about the value of adding extra firepower in attack - despite the lack of Danny Ings, who remains injured.

Midfielder Mario Lemina is also sidelined, while Ings, who is out with a hamstring problem, could be back for Saints' home meeting with Tottenham in early March.

"We have a few players back in training," the Austrian asserted. "Michael Obafemi has been training for two weeks with the team; it seems like his injury has gone.

"That helps us because it's another option in front. Mainly with his speed and quality he's a good option for me.

"Stuart Armstrong is also back on the pitch, there's been no problems for the last two weeks.

"Mario Lemina isn't training with the team. There's still problems but it's getting better and better.

"Danny Ings is still out. The Arsenal game is too early. For Fulham and Man United it could be close - more likely for the Tottenham game."
