Southampton advanced to the next stage of the SSE Women's FA Cup on Sunday, with a 5-0 home win over New Milton.

A crowd of 213 were in attendance at AFC Totton for the second qualifying round tie, as Saints cruised to victory.

Welcomed onto the pitch by a guard of honour from Pace Youth, who were also ball girls for the game, Marieanne Spacey-Cale's side took the lead after 20 minutes thanks to Ellie Chaffe.

That kickstarted a superb 14-minute spell in which Saints added three more, with Sam Burt and Kelly Fripp netting either side of an own goal to give the hosts a 4-0 advantage at the break.

Caitlin Collighan's 74th-minute effort then rounded off the success, with Southampton now progressing to the third qualifying round, which takes place next month.
