Craig Fleming hailed a polished performance from his young charges, as they ran out 2-0 winners against Norwich City in the Under-18 Premier League.

After dominating proceedings, second-half goals from Kornelius Hansen and Enzo Robise earned all three points, with the visitors reduced to ten men late on.

“It was really, really positive. We got a clean sheet, playing a lot of the younger boys and without a recognised number nine so we had to change the formation quite a bit,” Fleming reflected.

“We created lots of chances. There are bits to work on as there always is but overall we’re really pleased with the performance.

“The boys have been great all season long. They’ve had certain challenges thrown at them but they’ve always had an answer and they did that again today.

“As ex-defenders me and Butts (Danny Butterfield) don’t mind the odd clean sheet. We were solid at the back so it was a pretty complete performance really.”
