Young forward Marcus Barnes has today joined Yeovil Town on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has linked up with The Glovers, who currently occupy 20th position in League Two under the stewardship of Darren Way.

Barnes has scored four times in 12 Premier League 2 appearances so far this season for Saints’ Under-23 side, as well as featuring in the Checkatrade Trophy.

He makes the move to Huish Park, where fellow Saints striker Olufela Olomola recently enjoyed a successful loan spell, in order to gain valuable experience in the Football League and could make his debut in the FA Cup third round tie against Bradford City tomorrow.
