Nathan Redmond felt Southampton could have performed a lot better in their trip to Huddersfield Town, as they had to settle for a point at the John Smith's Stadium.

Saints kept their unbeaten start to the Premier League season going by fighting out a goalless draw with the Terriers, but Redmond felt they were far from their best.

"We could have done better, a lot better," he said. "That's not our usual standard and I think we know that and we'll be frustrated in the dressing room.

"If we're being critical, we should really have finished our chances. But they had a few as well, so we'll take the draw and we'll go into the international break and clear our heads.

"The excitement of coming up from the Championship to the Premier League, they've done fantastically well at the start of the season, but we know that on our day we can play against the best of them, and today we weren't quite up to that. We've got two weeks to reflect on that over the international break.

"We'll work on getting better over the next two weeks and looking forward to the next Premier League game."
