Pierre-Emile Højbjerg says he is relishing coming up against a top side in Tottenham Hotspur at St Mary’s in the Premier League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men currently sit in 5th place in the table, just two places above Saints and will be hoping to avoid losing three successive away games for the first since 2014.
But ahead of a flurry of festive fixtures, Højbjerg says the sole focus is on taking on Spurs as they go in search of back-to-back wins.
Højbjerg said: “Tottenham is a top team in the Premier League. We saw that not only this year, but also last year as well.
“Of course, we have to be aware and we have to be ready to play our game at 100%.
“We have some games now in the coming days and we need to be prepared and ready in our minds because it’s a good chance to get some points.
“You can only look one step ahead and everything else you clear your mind of. It’s about taking the opportunities that come around. This is how you get achievement.”
