Dušan Tadić is hoping to help Southampton to continue their superb home form when Tottenham Hotspur visit St Mary’s.

Saints have suffered just one defeat in front of their own supporters, which came against current league leaders Chelsea.

Indeed, they haven’t conceded a home goal for five hours and five minutes of Premier League football, something with Tadić feels is greatly aided by the supporters backing.

“We are really happy when we play at home in front of our fans because they give us extra energy,” Tadić said.

“It’s always nice to play at St Mary’s and I hope we will have a lot of success together there.

“It’s really important for us and maybe this is one of the reasons why we play so good at home. I’m happy because of that.”

And having recently made a full recovery from a broken nose sustained on international duty, Tadić is relishing a busy schedule.

“It was a really bad few weeks as I played with the mask and I lost a lot of blood. I was feeling without energy but now my energy is back so I’m really happy because of that. I’m fully fit to play again,” he continued.

“We’re looking forward and we know that it’s busy but we have a lot of experienced players with this busy period.

“From the beginning of the season we always have busy periods so we are fully ready for that.”
