Southampton manager Claude Puel says his team will head into next Wednesday's clash with Tottenham full of confidence.
Saints welcome Spurs, who are two places and nine points ahead of them in the Premier League table, to St Mary's, where Puel's men have lost only once this season across all competitions.
After a run of three matches without defeat in the top flight – the last of which was a resounding 3-1 win at Bournemouth – Puel says spirits are high.
"Of course, it was important in these last games to take points after the elimination from the European games," he said.
"We have come back in the Premier League with a good spirit. It was not easy, and now it is important to keep this confidence.
"We saw for example it was important for Jay [Rodriguez] to score his second goal and it’s important for the player to keep this regularity and good play, withgood possibilities and good chances every game, and to keep the good spirit.
"After a mini break with three days off, I think now it is important to come back against Tottenham with a good level and good concentration. We know all the games are difficult.
"We like to play against a good team and good players like Tottenham and it’s a good game at home to play, and for also our fans. It is important to look after a good result."
