Sam McQueen says Southampton must be targeting six points from their two tricky away trips this week.
Saints head to the bet365 Stadium on Wednesday night for a midweek clash with Stoke City, before travelling to AFC Bournemouth on Sunday for their final game before Christmas.
Buoyed by the win against Middlesbrough on Sunday, McQueen says Saints must look to put together an unbeaten run heading into the festive period.
“Sunday’s win gives confidence to the whole team, we’ll all be happier now heading into the next game against Stoke City,” McQueen said.
“They are both difficult games, but we feel that they are both winnable away games for us.
“So we’re not going in with any attitude other than to get the six points from those two matches and make it a really good week.
“That’s what we’re aiming for, and hopefully we can get the fans back with us and back together as a club again, moving in the right direction.
“That’s what we’re hoping for and we’ll give absolutely everything to get there.”
