Claude Puel says he is anticipating another strong game ahead of the trip to face Stoke City in the Premier League.
The Potters head into the clash looking to respond after their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at the weekend and sit just one place below Southampton in 11th.
And Puel called upon his players to build upon their win over Middlesbrough, against a side he feels possesses an array of attacking quality.
“It will be a strong game another time, against I think a very good team with great players,” Puel said.
“They have great offensive players with many possibilities for them like Shaqiri, Allen, Walters or Bony and Arnautovic – it’s impressive.
“But we finished with a good second-half and a very good result in our last game and now it’s important to find a good regularity for the next game and to take all the points.
He added: “To win the last game to come back after a big disappointment in a European game shows the strong character of my team.
“To continue this work and to stay now in the first part of the table is very important from us and I think we will see this.”
