SUPER: Kelvin Davis – a celebration, is exactly that.
The book details the goalkeeper’s ten years of service to Southampton Football Club, while also looking back at his path to St Mary’s and speaking to those closest to him.
On the fourth anniversary of his stunning display against Leeds United, Saints fans can now pre-order their copy of Kelvin’s book.
All pre-orders placed before Thursday 7th April will be signed by the goalkeeper himself and delivered on the day of the launch – Thursday 14th April.
On that day, Kelvin will be at Saints’ WestQuay store from 4pm BST to personally sign copies of the book and pose for photos with supporters.
Compiled by Barry Webb, the book has the thoughts of the people who have had a major influence on his impressive career and goalkeeping prowess, as well as delving into his life outside of football.
Kelvin also reflects on those he has met over the years, discussing his decade of service to the Saints in detail as well as his footballing journey that brought him to St Mary’s.
Players, colleagues and pundits – both past and present – recall Kelvin’s fine career and pay their own tributes, along with the thoughts of family and friends who have supported him throughout his career.
There are also tributes from supporters, who have had the pleasure of watching the goalkeeper between the sticks for Southampton since his arrival at the club in 2006.
It’s not only the highs that are discussed, as some of the lows from his ten years with the club are also reflected on, while at the same time celebrating his commitment to Southampton during the tougher years.
Much like his personality, the book is both serious and amusing in equal measure, as Kelvin’s decade of fantastic service is reflected on.
