Slattery named in England U17s squad

Southampton Under-18s midfielder Callum Slattery has been named in the England Under-17s squad for two games next month.

Steve Cooper's side will take on Germany twice in the space of three days, with Slattery returning to the squad after a short absence through injury.

The youngster scored in Saints Under-18s' 4-1 win against Arsenal earlier this month following his return to action.

Cooper's side face their German counterparts in a behind-closed-doors game at St George's Park on Wednesday 18th November.

They then meet again at Rotherham United's New York Stadium on Friday 20th November, with the game getting under way at 7.30pm GMT.

Tickets for the game, which will be shown live on BT Sport, are priced at £3 for adults and £1.50 for concessions.
