• Defender Nathaniel Clyne spent four years with Crystal Palace before joining Saints in 2012.
• Fellow defender José Fonte also spent time at Crystal Palace. He was on loan for the 2007/08 season, before joining permanently until 2010 when he moved to St Mary’s.
• Crystal Palace’s Jason Puncheon spent four years on the books at Southampton, before joining Palace in January 2014 on a permanent deal after impressing on loan.
• Selhurst Park was the home ground of Wimbledon when Saints goalkeeper Kelvin Davis played for the Dons between 1999 and 2003.
• Saints midfielder Jack Cork played alongside Palace defender Adrian Mariappa during a loan spell at Watford in 2009.
• Palace winger Jerome Thomas and Saints striker Shane Long were teammates at West Brom for two years between 2011 and 2013.
• Shane Long has also played alongside Palace defender Damien Delaney for the Republic of Ireland.
• Saints goalkeeper Fraser Forster was a teammate of Palace’s Joe Ledley at Celtic between 2010 and 2014.
• Saints duo Ryan Bertrand Jack Cork played alongside Palace’s Martin Kelly for England’s Under-21 side in 2010.
