James Ward-Prowse scored his first goal for England's Under-21s as they swept past their Lithuanian counterparts this evening.
The Saints midfielder marked his fourth appearance for the Young Lions by curling in a superb 27th-minute free-kick to double England's lead.
West Ham's Ravel Morrison had put Gareth Southgate's side ahead after just two minutes at Ipswich's Portman Road ground.
It was 3-0 just after the hour mark when West Brom striker Saido Berahino extended the lead, before Morrison scored his second on 71 minutes.
Berahino made it five from the penalty spot 14 minutes from time, with Ward-Prowse going close to scoring his second late on only to see his effort come back off the post.
The win leaves England second in their 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying ground with a game in hand over leaders Finland.
Ward-Prowse will now head back to Southampton after ten days away to begin his preparation for Saturday's Barclays Premier League game at Manchester United.
