Defender Makes Coventry Switch

By SFC Media time Mon 25 Feb Club

Aaron Martin has joined npower League One side Coventry City on loan until the end of the season.

The 23 year-old centre back has made his second temporary departure away from St Mary’s of the campaign, having spent the first half of the year at Crystal Palace.

He was used on only a handful of occasions for the Eagles before Ian Holloway took over as manager at Selhurst Park in November.

Since his return to Staplewood last month, Aaron has been training with the Saints squad, and now he has the opportunity to play more regularly with the Sky Blues who sit 8th in League One.

Martin scored his first ever professional goal for Saints against Coventry in an FA Cup third round meeting last year at the Ricoh Arena.
