HALF TIME: Huddersfield 0-0 Southampton
It's level at the break at the John Smith's Stadium, with Nathan Redmond going closest for Saints, while Fraser Forster made a couple of good saves at the other end.
Yellow Card for Oriol Romeu (Southampton)
Romeu gets a booking after an aerial challenge with Zanka.
Forster saves himself from trouble
Fraser Forster dives to meet a Chris Löwe cross, but spills it to Elias Kachunga. The Saints keeper then makes amends by turning away the Huddersfield player's resulting shot.
Forster denies Ince
A long ball bounces to Tom Ince on the corner of the area, and he sends in a quick-fire shot, but Fraser Forster manages to dive to his right and flick it round the far post. An excellent stop.
Both sides still searching
Saints have had the best chance, with Nathan Redmond firing inches wide (above), but it remains goalless at the John Smith's Stadium.
Mounie threatens again
Elias Kachunga causes problems down the right again, picking out Steve Mounie 16 yards from goal with a low cross. He doesn't get the contact he was looking for, though, as his shot bobbles just wide of the far post.
Davis denies van La Parra
Elias Kachunga's cutback picks out Rajiv van La Parra, whose low shot is heading for the bottom corner, but Steven Davis sticks out a leg and blocks it brilliantly.
Saints under pressure
Maya Yoshida makes a brilliant tackle to deny Elias Kachunga, as he looked set to turn in a low cross from six yards, before Fraser Forster gets to a dangerous cross just before Steve Mounie.
Saints threaten again
Nearly a clear opening for Saints, as Dušan Tadić looks to slip Steven Davis through, but Chris Löwe makes a brilliant saving tackle to deny the midfielder.
Zanka with an effort
A cross from the right picks out Zanka for the hosts, but his header is straight at Fraser Forster and is comfortable for the Saints keeper.
Redmond so close to an opener
A brilliant pass from Steven Davis sets Nathan Redmond clear down the inside right. He goes to bend a low shot into the far corner past Jonas Lössl, but his shot goes inches wide of the post.
A quiet start
No real opportunities of note for either side yet, as both teams settle into the game.
We're under way!
Let's do this, Saints! 😇
