Ryan has been with Southampton since the age of nine and progressed through the Academy as part of a solid core of players amongst his age group.
A reliable central midfielder, he has regularly played up the age groups and impressed first team staff to make his professional debut in January 2021 as a late substitute in the FA Cup against Shrewsbury.
Last season, he was a part of the Under-18s Premier League South title-winning team before establishing himself as a B team regular in the current campaign.
Finnigan featured in a Premier League matchday squad in 2022 before, in January 2023, he sealed his first senior loan move to Crewe Alexandra and scored his first professional goal in February.
