Previous Clubs: Southampton (2007-2010), Grimsby Town (2009/10 - Loan), Walsall (2010-2012), Aldershot Town (2012/13), Rochdale (2013-2016), Shrewsbury Town (2016/17), Swindon Town (2017-2019), Crewe Alexandra (2019-2021)

A Southampton Academy graduate, Olly Lancashire was brought back into the club in the summer of 2021 to work as part of the B team set-up, offering support and guidance to the youngsters in the development programme.

The centre-back returned to Saints 11 years after departing, bringing home with him a career experience with more than 300 senior appearances in league football.

Lancashire made his professional debut for Saints back in the 2008/09 season, in the Championship, playing 17 times before going on to have spells with Grimsby, Walsall, Aldershot, Rochdale, Shrewsbury, Swindon and Crewe.

“I’m delighted to be back,” he said, on his return in 2021. “I’ll be here to train with the B team lads, to try and guide them, mentor them and prepare them for what is a very tough industry.

“Ultimately, we want as many of the players here to play for the first-team. Hopefully I can use my experience from playing professional football for 15 years.

“If I can teach them the character traits and the behaviours I was fortunate enough to learn here then it will stand them in good stead.”
